THE NEW YORK YOUNG REPUBLICAN CLUB, INC. APPLAUDS PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH FOR HIS ACTIONS AFTER HURRICANE CHARLEY:

The New York Young Republican Club would like to thank President George W. Bush for taking decisive action in Florida in the wake of Hurricane Charley. President Bush rushed to the areas most affected by the killer storm, and pledged speedy disaster relief to those who lost so much over the weekend. The president personally toured the devastation both on the ground and surveyed it from the air, and also met with victims of the disaster to promise them that help is on the way.

Officials in Florida estimate that Hurricane Charley caused $11 billion in damages to insured homes alone.
