THE NEW YORK YOUNG REPUBLICAN CLUB'S 92ND ANNUAL DINNER A SMASH
On Tuesday, June 29, The New York Young Republican Club held the organization's 92nd annual dinner, and it was a tremendous success. The fundraising event drew an impressive list of speakers, including Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik, famed author and pollster Kellyanne Conway, and Massachusetts Lt. Governor Kerry Healy.
The NYYRC, Inc. is the oldest of its kind in the nation, and gave members a chance to be inspired by its celebrated guests. Attendees enjoyed hearing from Mayor Bloomberg as he encouraged members and fellow Republicans to continue moving forward and embracing the Republican ideals and virtues that will helpto re-elkect President George W. Bush. Pollster KellyAnne COnway adressed the crowd discussing polling and it's affects on the various levels of political races.
For NYYRC members - especially those who experienced first-hand life in New York City on September 11 - Kerik proved captivating. The former commissioner, who became a globally-recognized figure after the events of 9/11, recently returned from a stint in Iraq where he shared his knowledge and experience with the coalition commanders on the ground. Kerik gave the dinner's attendees a unique glimpse into life in the recently liberated country, detailing the many positive accomplishments that have taken place since President George W. Bush launched the military action that ousted tyrannical dictator Saddam Hussein - accomplishments too often ignored by the mainstream media. Kerik also expressed that the upcoming election is critically important to our nation's defense, and that the only candidate up to the task of keeping the homeland safe from terrorists is President Bush.
Massachusetts Lt. Governor Kerry Healy finished up the evening with refreshing comedy about John Kerry, Democratic Presidential Candidate and current Senator from her home state. The New York Young Republican Club, with over 100 people in attendance, had a successful event, where the annual Sharon Thompson Award, Governor Nelson Rockefeller Award, Hebert Brownell Award, and Stanley Isaacs Award were all handed out to deserving reciepients. We thank all whom attended. The New York Young Republican Club, Inc. is a not-for-profit political organization that exists to bring Republicans aged 18-40 together to discuss the Republican Party platform and aid the Republican Party in the education of the public about the Republican agenda and the promotion of Republican candidates for office.
