SOUTHEASTERN LEGAL FOUNDATION
PRESIDENT PHIL KENT SPEAKS TO NYYRC

New York, NY ­ Phil Kent, President of the Southeastern Legal Foundation, spoke to the New York Young Republican Club about the foundation and the current Campaign Finance Reform Laws Southeastern is fighting in the courts along side Senator Mitch McConnell and former independent council Kenneth Starr. 

"What they [the FEC] want is more government control over our speech and associations.  This is not a sexy issue.  We've got to make it one and we've made it one now, because it's really about what the liberals always prattle about.  It's about free speech," noted Mr. Kent.

A book signing of Mr. Kent's book, "The Dark Side of Liberalism: "Unchaining the Truth" followed.  Mr. Kent has also agreed to become an honorary board member to the New York Young Republican Club.
