THE NEW YORK YOUNG REPUBLICAN CLUB, INC. WELCOMES FRED BARNES TO FEBRUARY GEERAL MEETING

New York, NY - The New York Young Republican Club will hold their February monthly meeting on Thursday, February 16. Our featured speaker will be Fred Barnes, Executive Editor of the Weekly Standard and Fox News Commentator.

Fred Barnes co-hosts the "Beltway Boys" on Fox News Channel with Mort Kondracke and is a regular contributor on "Special Report with Brit Hume." After 10 years as an editor and correspondent for The New Republic, he co-founded The Weekly Standard with Bill Kristol and John Podheretz in 1995. Barnes also hosts two radio shows, "Issues in the News" on Voice of America and "What's the Story." He served as a regular panelist on "The McLaughlin Group" from 1988 to 1998. Over the years, he has appeared on "Nightline," "Meet the Press," "Face the Nation," and the "NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" and has written for Reader's Digest, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Spectator, Washingtonian, and Sunday Times of London.

Also confirmed: Alan Skorski, who will discuss his book Pants on Fire. New York Gubernatorial Candidate, Assemblyman Pat Manning and United States Senatorial Candidate John Spencer will address the Club.
